TUKWILA TO ALKI HALF AND FULL MARATHON

Tukwila To Alki Update (05/25/22)

* We are offering a Full Marathon Option this year (2023) - Tukwila to Alki then back to Tukwila (out and back) 26.2 miles.

* We are offering Two (2) options for the Half Marathon this year (2023).

* Run to Alki (13.1 miles)  - you would then need to provide your own transportation back to the starting area (Covid concerns).

* OR turn around at the marked turn around location and finish at the starting area for a Half.

* Our Biggest concern is car pooling back from finish to the starting area due to Covid concerns.

*Check back for updated details.

Please note all things may change because of Covid - please keep checking back here for updates.

I hoped we would be able to offer car pool rides back to the starting area (covid determined). Not possible.

Both race options will be starting at the same location - but would have different finish lines.

Starting address: 13400 Interurban Avenue South, Tukwila, WA 98168

Finishing address: 13400 Interurban Avenue South, Tukwila, WA 98168

OR

Finishing address: 2666 Alki Avenue SW, Seattle, WA 98116

Again, this is all subject to Covid protocol.

I will arrive at the starting area before 7:30 AM.

I will be starting runners who do not believe they will finish their race distance by 12:00 PM (noon).

If anyone feels uncomfortable doing a Mass Start - they are welcome to start on their own at any time.

I am hoping for a 8:00 AM Early Half Marathon Mass Start.

Marathoners will also start at 8:00 AM.

I am hoping for a 9:00 AM Regular Half Marathon Mass Start.

I am hoping for a 12:00 PM (noon) Race Finish.

Marathoners will still be finishing after this time of course.

Please have your donations ready to turn in or prepaid via Zelle.

Zelle payments can be sent to barrick@greenrivermarathon.com

I will probably assign bibs at the start of the race.

With everyone's cooperation, everything will turn out great.

Aid Station will be open from 9:00 AM to 10:30 AM.

We will have self-serve water and Gatorade bottles.

Aid will be available from 9:30 AM to 12:00 (noon) at the finish line in Alki also for the marathoners.

Marathoners should plan on being self supported for the second half.

Additional aid support is still being thought about.

Tukwila To Alki Half Marathon and all volunteers are not responsible for any injuries or deaths. The Tukwila To Alki Half Marathon is a free run; the aid is free, the run is free and no one is paid. This is a low key run amongst friends. If you require special assistance or are unsure of your abilities please think twice about running 13.1 miles and take necessary precautions. You must have medical clearance from your doctor before you begin any exercise program or running in any half marathons. It is not our intent for anyone to get hurt while running the Tukwila To Alki Half Marathon.
